TURN LANE CLOSURE: Be alert to LANE RESTRICTIONS and NEW TRAFFIC PATTERNS on North Muldoon Road between the Glenn Highway and Golden Bear Drive. During this time, the left turn lane from Muldoon Road to Golden Bear Drive will be CLOSED intermittently. Crews will work to keep the road open to four lanes whenever possible this week. Please follow construction signs for DETOUR routes, and use the Zuckert Avenue intersection as alternative access to Tikahtnu.

Beginning Monday, August 29, be alert to SINGLE-LANE TRAFFIC on Starview Drive near Centennial Park due to waterline work for approximately one month.

Expect intermittent night work with LANE RESTRICTIONS and flagging operations from 9:00pm to 5:30am, Monday through Saturday.

UPDATED OFF-RAMP CLOSURE: Both of the southbound Glenn Highway Off-ramps to north and south Muldoon Road will be CLOSED from 9:00pm Friday, July 15, until 5:30am Monday July 18. Please follow construction signs for DETOUR routes to the Boniface Parkway Off-ramp, looping back onto the northbound Glenn Highway, and exiting by way of the northbound Muldoon Road Off-ramp.

UPDATED ON-RAMP CLOSURE: The southbound Glenn Highway On-ramp (to downtown) from north Muldoon Road will also be CLOSED from 9:00pm Friday, July 15, until 5:30am Monday July 18. Please follow construction signs for DETOUR routes, and use Debarr Road or Boniface Parkway as an alternative route.

Traffic traveling north and south on Muldoon Road, and those using ramps on the south side of Muldoon Road overpass will be uneffected throughout the CLOSURES.

Chugach Foothills Connector trail work begins Monday, June 13th

Youth Employed in Parks trail crew is set to start work on Phase 1 of the Chugach Foothills Connector Monday, June 13. We plan on serving lunch to the teens and crew chiefs (about 30 people). So far we have a donation of cheese, cookies, veggie tray, apple juice and someone to help serve. Still looking for assorted lunch meats, chips, and beverages. If anyone would like to contribute to lunch, you can drop items off at 8060 Resurrection after 6:00 pm on Sunday or on Monday a.m. Thanks in advance.

The work party will be June 25th from 9 am-12:00pm, with a ribbon cutting party to follow. It is really important that we have a nice showing for this ribbon cutting. We’ll congregate at the end of Tikishla drive. I’m asking folks to bring your own camp chair. Michele has offered her grill for the hotdogs.

Chugach Foothills Connector Trail work June 13-June 25

Karen Bronga from Scenic Foothills Trail Users Group wrote: The Youth Employed in Parks (YEP) crew will start Chugach Foothills Connector Trail work from Klutina Dr. and the Powerline area to Regal Mountain Drive June 13th.
This is Phase 1 of getting a connector trail all the way to Campbell Airstrip Rd. We are very excited that this is happening and the crew is very excited to have this be their first project of the season. Since it is their first project, they’ll be working out kinks and have asked for neighbors to join them in working on the last day, June 25th.
This 9:00 am to 12 pm work party on June 25th will be capped with a ribbon cutting, with cake, hotdogs and such. If you can’t make the work party still come to the ceremony at noon. Meet at Tikishla Street and the powerline with your own lawn chair. It’d be cool if you could walk there and maybe even try the trail.
Also, we would like to feed the crew and crew chiefs lunch on their first day of work, at noon on June 13th. Looking for hoagie rolls, assorted lunch meats, cheeses, chips, veggie tray, and soft drinks for 30. If you’d like to contribute, please message Karen Bronga back. (You can do this via the Contact page). You will be bringing the food to 8060 Resurrection.
